Educational Technology Certification
Educational Technology certificate programs are designed for teachers interested in taking courses for professional development. Teachers do not have to apply to the University of Florida to take these courses. Upon successful completion of three courses in a specialized area, students will receive a Certificate from the University of Florida's School of Teaching & Learning.” Three courses (9 graduate credits) comprise each certificate program. Please see “Course Schedule” [link] to determine when these courses are offered.
Please note: If you are going to apply for the Master’s degree, you can transfer in no more than 9 graduate credits. Therefore, you should not take any more than three courses (potentially one certificate) before applying.
In addition, the University of Florida College of Education Certificate is not the same thing as state teaching certification. Please check with your own state or school district for certification or recertification requirements.
