Educational Technology
Practicing teachers may earn a Masters or Ed.S degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on 'Teaching, Learning and Facilitating Educational Change with Technology'. The program prepares practicing teachers and technology specialists to use technology as a tool to modify, extend, or enhance their curriculum and to take leadership roles related to technology integration in their classroom, school or district.
Specifically, this program emphasizes (a) strategies to effectively integrate technology in the curriculum to meet the needs of all students, (b) principles of educational change that enable graduates to infuse technology in schools and districts, and (c) teacher inquiry as a method of both professional development and school reform.
Length: 12 courses (36 credits), approx. 12-18 months for Masters degree; Ed.S requires 36 credits beyond a Masters degree
Requirements: Locational - one practicum session (complete list of Masters degree requirements)
Computer Requirement: High speed Internet access recommended (complete list of requirements)
Admissions: Beginning of each semester (January, May, August)
Prerequisites: Bachelor's degree; GRE 1000 (verbal and quantitative)
